It’s time for me to pull out the canning jars to pickle cucumbers. I have a large bowl of cucumbers to pickle. I thank God for the bees, because they have been busy this year pollinating. If it wasn’t for the bees what would we do? This year my cucumbers are growing so fast I can’t hardly keep up with them. Every morning there are cucumbers that need picking.
I enjoy canning, last year was the first time I canned and I had fun doing it. I made sliced dill pickles and sweet relish. The pickles were so delicious. I have a few fans out there that can’t wait until I give them a jar of pickles, but they will have to wait because pickling is a process that doesn’t happen over night. First you have to can and then you have to wait for them to cure, and let me tell you, it is well worth the wait…yummy!
