Five-Pointed Star Doily Pattern

By Cynthia Leave a Comment

Here is a free five-pointed star doily pattern that is so easy to create and can be used to crochet a set of coasters, a beautiful banner or just to use as a doily.  I love the pentagon shape, it’s so perfect for making a banner. If you would like to use the original pattern, check it out here.

You can use the pattern I revised, which is a bit simpler to understand (hopefully). I thought that this pattern was perfect for crocheting during this Independence Holiday for making coasters.

I really enjoyed crocheting this pattern. I had to make it with my favorite yarn Schachenmayr Catania. I’m sure you can whip up quite a few of them. Make a banner, a doily or a set of coasters.
