There are times when I just want to make something from scratch without using a pattern, or instructions. My daughter’s friend gave me some beautiful scraps, so I decided to put together this little purse. A few months ago, I went to the thrift store and picked up some old wool jackets and sweaters and felted them. I used the felt along with the scraps to make this little purse. Oh, I decided also to make it in red since it’s Valentine’s Day is tomorrow.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I washed this jacket to felt and cut it at the seams.
I used the sleeve and cut out the size I wanted
I cut a piece of the scrap (isnt’ it adorable…little birdies) the exact size of the felt. Sewed them wrong size together. Leave a gap large enough to turn it on the right side.
I did a blanket stitch around the purse.
I glued a flower on top! Know that was easy!
