Fun Rabbit Easter Boxes

I wanted to do something special for my grandkids for Easter. We normally do an Easter egg hunt every year, around the house, outside, it really doesn’t matter! This year I wanted to do something extra.

While shopping the other day, I noticed these little boxes. Immediately my thoughts went to Easter…”hmmm, these would be great to give to my grandkids filled with party favors and a small amount of candy !” So I purchased the boxes for which I didn’t spend much money. The total purchase was less than buying one expensive Easter basket. Have you notice the price of Easter baskets lately!?! Outrageous!!

My supplies: paper boxes, paper grass, gum ball machines ($1.00 each), adhesive bunny foam shapes, goggle eyes, ribbon, plastic eggs,party favors and buttons.

Cut the closures off the box

Decorate the box how you want (I used ribbon).

Use only the head portion of the rabbit.

Make a template a little smaller than the ears of the rabbit and traced on the back of the decorative paper for inside the rabbits ears.

I glued the ears, eyes, teeth and nose on the rabbit’s face. I used a permanent marker to draw the mouth on and I used extra foam to cut the teeth.

Remove only the head portion of the adhesive paper and press it onto the box.

Fill the bottom of the box with the paper grass and all the goodies!

Voilà!
