Don’t you get tired of chasing your yarn…I do! Ain’t nobody got time for that! After crocheting for years and chasing that ball, I decided to do something about it. I needed something big enough to hold a large skein of yarn. I’ve seen many containers out there but nothing was big enough. So I went to my first source… my Pinterest boards and then to JoAnn’s to feed my creative mind.
At JoAnn’s I found some cute decorative elements for decorating Mason jars. I bought this cute name tag and used one of the large Mason jars I had collecting dust at home; and I came up with this cute jar. So perfect! I love it, because it’s big enough for the large skeins and I can also use it with my smaller ones too (and it’s large enough to hold my needles). I plan to make some more because it’s easy, fun decorative and functional. “Happy crafting!”
SUPPLIES:
1/2 gallon mason jar
decorative element
rubber grommet
Drill

Hi Maya! Thank you so much…I’m so excited about making more of these! Thanks for stopping by HNY!!
What a cute idea! I have too much yarn and projects going at once though – I would need at least 6 jars! I like this idea for when I crochet or knit by my computer though. I also love the jar jewelry tag – I didn’t know there was such a thing.
Thank you Kimberlee, I didn’t know about the jar jewelry until I went to JoAnn’s…I thought “how cute”…thanks for stopping by, hope you get a chance to make one it so easy.
