Wednesday’s Tip
I had so much fun creating these little clay ornaments for the DIY diffuser necklace! These clay ornaments are just the right size to add that drop of oil to last throughout the day to give you just the right mood. Depending on what drop of oil you put on your ornament, you can have a peaceful, happy or calm mood.
I found that some of the best oils to achieve these feelings are:
Peace and Calming
Stress Away
Ylang Ylang
Peppermint
The supplies you need are terra cotta clay, eye pins to attach to the necklace, clay molds and a pan to harden them in the oven.
You will need to roll your clay in the palm of your hand to soften it. Take a small piece and press it mold of choice.
Scrape off the excess clay
Take the clay out of the mold, use the eye pins to puncture holes in the top of each clay mold.
I wanted to insert the eye pins before I baked them. I did a few but the clay was too soft, so I decided to bake the rest before inserting the pin. Make sure that you put a hole in each one. When inserting the eye pins, cut to size and roll the pin at the end to keep the ornament from slipping off
Place the molded clay in a shallow pan. Preheat oven at 275 degrees for 15 minutes.
You can use chain or thin twine for the necklace. These will definitely keep you in the right mood!
