Easy Tiling

Recently I updated my kitchen and decided to give tiling a try. I added a tiled back splash behind my stove top and to my surprise, it turned out beautiful. Thanks to a young lady I meet one day in Home Depot; she recommended this product that would make tiling easy. She told me she had used it and so I decided that I would give it a try too. I’m so glad that I did, it eliminated me having to use mortar to paste the tiles on the wall.

The product is called simplemat. It contains 9 – 9×18″ sheets that have adhesive on the back that you apply to your wall and it also has raised adhesive on top that bonds to the tile. As soon as I finished applying my tile I grouted it; there was no waiting for the mortar to dry. Now that was easy, fun and the tile turned out gorgeous! Oh by the way, I purchased that wonderful butcher block counter top from Ikea for only $129.00 and I love it!
