Decorative Easter Eggs

By Cynthia 14 Comments

Every Easter we have a family Easter egg hunt for the boys…rain, sleet or sunshine; because we have it inside the house. We never decorate the eggs, we just buy the plastic eggs and fill the eggs with money and candy. The boys have so much fun! So this year I decided to decorate a few special (money) eggs. So easy, all you do is glue petals and jewels on the eggs. Also these decorative eggs would be great for decorating.

Oh my, those are gorgeous! My grandkids and I have enjoyed the Easter Resurrection eggs for years – both the set I bought, as well as making our own. Last year, we used LEGOs to be the pieces in the eggs that altogether told the Easter story. This year, we have gone virtual, using the Minecraft game to make vignettes of the Easter story. But, even though they are getting older, they are also looking forward to our real Easter eggs and the fun of hiding and seeking them. Isn’t it grand to find new and creative ways to enjoy old favorites. Have a blessed week.

Hi Kaye! Thanks for stopping by…I had a lot of fun creating the eggs! My grandboys (teenagers) get a kick out of searching for eggs on Easter! They will love to find these jewels hidden through out the house (this year maybe outdoors). I have so much fun watching them hunt for the eggs! What a great idea about the legos, will have to do that as well. Have a wonderful day!

These are beautiful! Thank you for sharing at A New Creation party. I really like the idea of having some “fancy” eggs holding the more desirable prizes! My kids are very young so the candy is still just as desirable as money 🙂
