Delicious 7-up Cake Recipe

By Cynthia 2 Comments

Here is an amazingly delicious rich cake, that’s fit for a queen! We cook this cake every year during the holidays, and it’s always at hit. It’s a fight over the last slice. I want to share this family secret with you. Oh by the way, it’s so good with a cup of coffee!
Ingredients:
3 c flour
3 c sugar
3 1/3 sticks of butter (salted)
5 eggs
3 tablespoon vanilla extract
7 oz of 7-up
Heat oven 350 degrees

sift flour in separate bowl
Cream sugar, butter together thoroughly
Add eggs one at a time and beat after each addition
Add sifted flower
Add flavoring and 7-up and mix
(you can put 1 1/2 tablespoon of lemon flavor and half 1 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract to add a little more punch of lemon)
Pour in greased and floured bundt pan
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes

OPTIONAL:
Make a glaze and drizzle over cake while still hot
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups of confectioners’ sugar
3 tablespoons of milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Yields about 1/2 cup of icing
May be thickened with confectioners’ sugar or thinned with milk
