DIY Valentine’s Gift Jar

By Cynthia 10 Comments

I’m so excited about these cute heart-shaped glass jars I found at the Dollar Store. I couldn’t wait to get home to decorate them! I wanted to make it simple, easy, but cute. So I decided to crochet a couple of hearts and glue them on the front with a little gem; and fill it with candy (peppermint) and put a bow on it. The jars didn’t come with a top so I used a cork top from some empty Patron bottles I bought from a garage sell; and wrapped the bottom with ribbon, so that it could fit properly.

It’s amazing how something I paid $1.00 for could turn out so cute. All it takes is a little creativity. Check out your local dollar store for something to create for Valentine’s Day. ~Happy Crafting~

I love your crochet hearts. Were they hard to make? My daughter knits and I’m sure she would like to try making the hearts too. I think they would make cute garland for a shelf.

Thanks for stopping by Brandi. The hearts are crochet hearts and they are very easy to do.
