Crochet Bunny Ears

By Cynthia 3 Comments

How about crocheting your little one a pair of rabbit ears to wear for Easter. Crocheting these bunny ears was so much fun and quick. It took me awhile to post because I needed a little girl to pose for me (wishing I was a Granny to a little girl). Oh how blessed I am for my grand boys Youth Leader Sandra, for stopping by yesterday and bringing her precious little girls (smiling)! Thank you so much Sandra for allowing me to photograph Lyric (what a beautiful name), she obliged after being coached just a little, but she did it and I think she did a wonderful job!

So here are the bunny ears, and it takes about an hour and half to create.

Metal headband

Single crochet around headband, I used a size G crochet hook

I used this video to create my rabbit ears

Leave about 12 inches of yarn at end of ears to attach to headband. I wanted the ears to bend, so I weaved wire in the ears.

Leave about an inch or more wire at the end to wrap around headband

Cut a piece of felt or fabric for the inner ear and sew on. Make two ears and attach to headband, wrap the extra wire around headband and sew the headband and ears with the extra yarn
Before attaching the ears at end of ears pinch bottom and sew together
Thank you Lyric for being a good sport.
