DIY Rubber Stamps

By Cynthia 2 Comments

DIY rubber stamps is so rewarding and so much fun. After looking on Pinterest and seeing others create their own, I decided to create a few. All you need is a carving set and a block of rubber which is very reasonably priced on Amazon. Here is a clip from Youtube to see how it works. Give it a try you will enjoy it!

First time carving my own stamps …so easy and so much fun! 😜 I love the bird 🐥and the cloud <img decoding=” src=”http://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/72×72/2601.png”>” />I carved. #rubberstamps #createdbyme #carving #stamping #creating #lovetocraft #cloud #bird

Seems like I might have one of those tools to cut stamps. Tried that few years ago when we still lived in KY, (now live few miles west of Grand Junction,CO out in country). Will see if I can find all that stuff. Wasn’t very good at it as my hands are arthritic but try to make things anyway. Try not to let things stop me, just slows me down, figure out other ways to do things that are difficult.
What do you like to do creatively? Do you have favorite craft you go back to repeatedly? I enjoy paper crafting mostly, like to make paper flowers, ornaments, whatever I can find to make. Have so much inspiration I get from blogs. I get so many exciting projects from LiaGriffith. com blog. She makes many wonderful paper objects.
I especially loved your little bird stamp, really cute, you did great job carving it out. I’ll have to check out blocks to carve at Hobby Lobby. Am lucky to have Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann’s and Michaels in Grand Junction. Did you carve out bird with a template or know how to draw it free hand?
I’m enjoying some quiet time this a.m. while hubs is being lazy bones in bed. He’s fine, just being lazy, I could use some alone time. We’re together 24/7 and sometimes I need alone time. Usually only get that when he goes outside to work in yard. He’s been doing too much on his feet so his newly remade leg is hurting him. Won’t listen when I try to caution him about doing too much.
Have great day and rest of week. I’ll be going for long awaited hair cut later this afternoon. Time to get hair off my neck for summer.

Hi Jane it is always pleasant to hear from you! I love that you have determination to do no matter the circumstances. Two years ago I broke my wrist…I didn’t let that stop me from crafting. Sometimes I forget that it was ever broken. Last year I fell and cracked my knee (I’m getting older and I need to be more careful). I’m not fully back to myself but I’m not letting that stop me from working in the yard and doing the things that I need to do. When I first broke my knee it was hard for me asking my family to do things for me… today I do 99% of the things I need to do for myself! I love to craft and I “ain’t gonna” let nothing get me down. This was the first time I tried carving stamps…I really like it. I looked at a few youtube videos and I was well on my way. I truly enjoy carving. The cloud and birdie was hand drawn and then traced on the rubber block. I hope you find your tools (I know how it is when you move, sometimes you tend to lose) I can understand how your husband feel, it’s hard sitting and not doing. But we do have to be careful. Hope that your day is filled with much joy!
