This beautiful crochet carnation is so fluffy! When I first saw it I thought it would be difficult to crochet. I was amazed that it isn’t as hard as it look. After reading the pattern, I decided to give it a try. Once I made the first one, I couldn’t stop I made two more! If you can do a chain stitch and a double crochet stitch you can make this unique crochet flower. As I was crocheting this beauty, I thought this could very well be a nice throw rug…just make is bigger. Maybe one day soon I will give it a try. It may take some time but I think a throw rug made from this pattern would be fabulous! This pattern came from this awesome book I bought at Amazon.com. It’s pattern #16 Carnation: Traditional. I used my favorite yarn so far Schachenmayr Catania. The colors I used are turquoise, silver and orange.
You may think that this pattern is difficult, but it’s not. Give it a try, don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
I love this book it is filled with so many amazing patterns!
Pick up that needle and get to hooking. You want regret it!
