These snowflake crochet burlap coasters will be very useful during the holiday season. During the holidays, we gather together with family and friends eating and serving drinks. If your gatherings are anything like mine, drinks are everywhere. So that means that you can never have enough coasters.
I made these snowflake crochet burlap coasters, especially for this Christmas holiday. The coasters are very easy to make, and you can make a set in one day. Also, you can crochet and sew them to give as a gift. Instead of crocheting a snowflake on the coaster, just crochet a cute motif. You will have to make sure that the motif and the burlap fit together perfectly. You don’t want the motif to hang off the circle but inside the circle and make sure there is room to add a blanket stitch or whatever trim you would like to stitch.
Supplies:
Burlap
crochet thread
cotton fabric
fusible fleece
scissors
sewing needle
crochet needle
water erasable pen
Cut your fusible fleece and burlap
Bond the burlap and the fusible fleece together with an iron
Trace a circle with a water erasable pen
Sew your fabric and burlap circle together, with front sides facing each other, leave about an inch and a half open, turn the fabric to right side, whip stitch the opening and iron, add a decorative stitch on the edge, I stitched a blanket stitch on mine, sew on star or motif. Now you are ready to protect your furniture against those ugly glass rings.

I love it!! Thank you so much for such a cute pattern. It sure will come in handy during the holidays.
Wouldn’t these be cute at Hallowe’en with orange burlap and the silhouette of a black cat or a witch cut out of felt and sewn onto the coaster? The possibilities for these are endless.
