Create Beautiful Pen Pencil Crochet Holder using only single crochet stitch. I always need ways to keep my craft room organized. All you need is about an hour or so of your time, and you can have this beautiful holder.
Supplies for: Create Beautiful Pen Pencil Crochet Holder
First you will need to make the base of the can. Crochet single crochet in the round until the circle is the size of the bottom of the can. Check out this post on how to crochet in the round. You will need to finish the circle by cutting the yarn and fasten off. Here is a video on how to finish off neatly.
The next step is to create a nice edge at the bottom of pencil holder, use the same color or you can change the color it’s up to you (I used the same color). Crochet in back loop only once around the circle.
Now to the easy part. Crochet in a circle until the pattern is near the edge of the can (fit it as you go). Change the colors whenever you see fit. I used the colors mint and naural from Schachemayr Catania Yarn.
Leave enough space at the top of the can to create a decorative edge. I created the single crochet crab stitch (aka “reverse crochet stitch”) for the edge of this pattern. Check out this video on how to do the single crochet crab stitch. Finish it off by adding a cute element.
