Creating Calligraphy Wooden Signs

By Cynthia 5 Comments

I love doing projects that I can actually display or use. This project is perfect to enhance your living room, kids bedroom or studio. Creating Calligraphy Wooden Signs are very easy to create. All you need is a 14 by 3.5 piece of recycled fence wood, black paint, and a marker. If you can sign your name you can make this sign. Also, you will need to be able to cut the wood to size.

I used Craft smart chalk Marker . This marker is perfect to use because it’s chalk and if you make a mistake it can be easily corrected. Once it has dry it’s not easily smudged. If you desire you can spray polyurethane on it to preserve the writing.

I saw a sign I love but it was too expensive. I love this idea. You create such beautiful things. How did you do the lettering was it freehand?
