Tiny Valentine Heart Cakes

Need a great idea for making Valentine sweets without cooking? Sometimes you want to have something special for the family on Valentine’s Day, but you don’t feel like cooking. Here is an easy way of creating the cutest tiny Valentine heart cakes without the kitchen heat.

Tiny Valentine Heart Cakes: Instructions

Tiny Valentine Heart Cakes

Store bought cake (pound cake preferable)
Small heart cookie cutter
Store bought cake icing (white)
Red food coloring
cupcake sprinkles

First, cut the top off of the cake. Cut cake in half.

Cut out the heart shapes using the cookie cutter

Place the cutout cakes on a cooling rack, place aluminum foil or pan under the wire frame to catch the icing.

Put the icing in a glass bowl and add two drops of food coloring stir until it is mixed well until the icing is pink. Heat the icing in the microwave for about 35 seconds.

Pour hot the icing over cakes and add sprinkles on top. When the icing stiffens, lift off cooling rack and move to a plate.
